Good question? Stats were at/near bottom of ACC so maybe coaches had opened up competition for spot. Team doesn't need players that don't want to be there so better now than over summer... have time to get minutes for next up in Spring games. And could be simply that D1 sports is not high school or travel ball it is a year round job. Does beg question why 3rd goalie in 4 years to leave program.
